King’s Canyon in May

Day 1: Camping at the Trailhead.

First, a little relaxation with music and beer.

Then a little more music, and now some vino…

Chris plays and sings, while Adam and Josh provide backup.

Day 2: On our way…

The weather is beautiful and the scenery is gorgeous. The King’s Canyon River has amazing rapids!

But it starts to get chilly and ominous clouds appear at the horizon. So, we decided to take a quick break for lunch and layer up a bit…

…hum, it’s getting really cold!!!

Ah, and now it’s snowing. Remember, it’s May. Nice California weather, eh? What are we doing out here? Even the deer think we’re nuts!

Better make camp…

Day 3: Last day…

One last admiring view of nature. We stopped by to see General Sherman (a huge redwood tree that’s been growing for thousands of years) on our way out.
